Gratitude

Gratitude ~ How to Cultivate It – HH Romapada Swami

  1. Commence a Gratitude Journal
Each day, enter into the Journal at least one thought-filled and heart-felt
acknowledgment of something within your life for which you feel grateful — to Krishna, to
guru, to the vaisnavas, to your family, to nature, whatever.
Take 3 minutes of silence, reflecting on that “something” for which you feel grateful.
Do this consistently for some time, before moving on to the next item.
  2. Consciously dedicate some service to the source from which the
“something” has come (noted in your Journal), for their pleasure. That service might
include something that you do routinely every day — for example, making a bhoga
offering, or chanting of one of your 16 rounds, listening to a lecture, reading a BG verse.
Do this consistently for some time, before moving on to the next item.
  3. Express your sincere gratitude directly to the source, from time to
    time.
  4. Quietly, without seeking attention or anyone’s notice, go out of your way to do
something that assists the message or the mission of that source
of the “something” you feel grateful for.
